Why am I getting XML invoices?

Since 1 January 2025 every business in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices from other businesses. An e-invoice is structured data under the European standard EN 16931, usually an XRechnung (plain XML) or ZUGFeRD (a PDF with XML inside). From 2027 larger companies must send them, from 2028 everyone.

This viewer reads both XRechnung syntaxes (UBL and CII), ZUGFeRD 2.x and Factur-X, and EN 16931 invoices from other EU countries. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
